ukp and uks are wheat export brands developed by HGCA's British Cereal Exports in conjunction with the industry to meet the needs of the overseas market.

Feedback from importers indicated that the existing UK classification, defined for the domestic market, did not always suit the export market due to the diversity of UK varieties and the different uses in the domestic and overseas markets. In response ukp and uks were developed and launched in November 2004, to provide a clear and robust system of classification of UK wheat.

HGCA's British Cereal Exports has been leading the project on behalf of the industry and since the launch the brands have been subject to a successful promotional campaign, leading to worldwide recognition of ukp & uks.
